Abstract submission
EUROCK 2028 invites researchers, engineers, practitioners, and students from academia and industry to submit contributions related to the symposium theme:
“Advances in Rock Mechanics and Rock Engineering to Cope with Increasingly Extreme Conditions”
The symposium will provide an international forum for presenting recent advances, innovative methods, practical applications, and emerging challenges in rock mechanics and rock engineering. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
- Rock mass characterization
- Rock support design
- Rock tunnelling
- Bio-rock mechanics
- Geohazards and risk mitigation
- Multiphysical couplings in rock mechanics
- Upscaling methods
- Underground storage and disposal
- Sustainability in rock engineering
- Strategies for extreme conditions
- Artificial intelligence applications
- Education and pedagogy in rock mechanics
Abstract submission Opening Date: 15 February 2027

Registration
TRegistration for EUROCK 2028 will open in 01 December 2027.
The registration fees include access to the technical sessions, exhibition area, conference materials, coffee breaks, and social events as specified in the final program.
